What Laptop Mobile Computing Awards 2008

Now in its sixth year, the What Laptop Mobile Computing Awards are the only awards designed specifically to award achievements in portable computing.

The last twelve months have been an incredibly important time, as laptops and the continued growth of the mobile internet has not only driven interest in computing, but also seen the largest growth in sales. Mobile Broadband as it has become known allows you to stay in touch wherever you are, whenever you need to be in touch. Perhaps the biggest change has been the introduction of a whole new class of portable PC, in the form of the Netbook? These tiny marvels have grabbed the headlines and are set to be the success story of the year, particularly in the run up to Christmas. With these criteria in mind, our awards have evolved this year to reflect this changing market. We've added a couple of categories; Best Netbook and Best Mobile ISP, to best reflect this change in mobile use.When it comes to voting, this is your chance to reward those machines you feel deserve the attention but also a great way to tell manufacturers where they got it right. So, please choose as many categories as you feel passionate about – the more opinions we get the better the feedback we can offer manufacturers for future devices.
